The one that didnt make it...

I am just putting together Cherry's new A-Z in a big frame but there is a blank space where the last one was(bad dad!). So I thought I would put an interim piece up while I finish it.She is crazy about birds at the moment, so I reckoned a bird picture would be good... but then decided this one was too dark!!

Just a Scan

Things are very busy at the moment... illustrating and designing a new book for children and a few other jobs that I can'tpost up yet. There is a lot of paper, hanging around the desk, and this pile under the scanner which has created its own layout.

New Alphabet Poster on Etsy

New A-Z

A while ago I made an A-Z poster for my little one, Cherry, before she was born. She's just turned 1 year old so I though I would recreate the artwork with some new images, perhaps more recognisable to her. Here are the first three letters...

WAWWD

My design studio, New Future Graphic, are currently working with a great organization called We Are What We Do on a new book. I am making a few new images for the book, this is a test image that was made a while ago.

Graniph Japan

I have been working on some design for a range of T-shirts for Graniph in Japan. Not quite sure when they are coming out but here are some of test designs that won't be featured this time!

Keeping on the theme of children I have just made some cards for Otto who is 1 and Isla who is 0!

Anorak Magazine

I did some illustrations for this story for the latest edition of Anorak magazine for kids. It's about a sock who loses his partner and then gets turned into a sock Monkey. I used a sock monkey made for Cherry by Hazel Nicholls, check out her blog.

Happy Wheels

Its been a long time since last post - building a new studio is taking more time than expected. This is a new drawing for a festival of cycling.

The Workshop

We have been in development of a new studio for some time now - and we are in the closing stages of making it a reality. The new Workshop will also incorporate Get Casual - a screen-printing service to the creative industry. So we hope it will lead to more prints for sale - and even more collaborations with friends. Happy New Year

Happy New Year to you all ( to anyone who actually looks at this blog!). Its a new start this year - I am in a new location - the new studio will be up and running soon - with some exciting editions to scenery, equipment and output - more to come soon. Hopefully there will be some more frequent posts this year!

Gocco

Well its nothing to shout about - but here is my first Gocco* print. After wasting a few screens I managed to print this. Expect them to get better in the future. *Gocco is a home screenprinting kit from Japan which lets you expose a screen and print mulitples from a master screen, its pretty cool. Well, I am finally quitting the city after so many years loving and hating it... looking forward to fresh air and new inspiration from mother nature.

I did a whole load of work for Orange/Mother ages ago - I am just in the process of extracting all the good bits and reworking them - for the website.
